Privacy policy
1. Who we are
The Arlee app and website ("Arlee") are owned and operated by EagleVisionX Pty Ltd (ABN 30 685 353 968) ("EagleVisionX", "we", "us"). EagleVisionX is responsible for your personal information collected through Arlee and is the entity bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in respect of that information.
Arlee is published on the Apple App Store by Revolutionairy Pty Ltd as developer of record. Revolutionairy Pty Ltd does not control your personal information; EagleVisionX Pty Ltd does.
2. What we collect
- Identity and contact information — your name, email address and mobile number, used to create your account and sign you in.
- Property information — addresses of properties you or your broker add, together with estimated values and related property data supplied by Cotality (see section 6).
- Financial information — details of your loans, savings, assets, income, expenses and other financial details that you or your mortgage broker record to build your financial position and plans.
- Messages — messages and any attachments you exchange with your broker inside the app.
- Ask Arlee questions — questions you ask, and the answers generated, in the Ask Arlee feature (see section 4).
- Device and usage information — device type, app version and diagnostic information used to keep Arlee working and secure. If you use biometric sign-in, it is handled entirely on your device; we never receive or store your biometric data.
Sensitive information — Arlee does not ask you for health, disability or hardship-related information, and does not need it to provide the service. However, if you or your broker record health, disability or hardship-related information as part of a financial conversation (for example, in messages or notes relevant to your financial position), we treat this as sensitive information and only collect it with your consent, and only use it for the purpose it was shared for.
3. How we collect and use it
We collect information directly from you, from your mortgage broker (with your knowledge, as part of your engagement with them), from Cotality, and automatically as you use the app. We use it to:
- provide and personalise Arlee — your position, What If? scenarios, your Life Plan and Ask Arlee;
- keep your information in sync between you and your mortgage broker;
- send you sign-in codes and important service notifications;
- provide support, maintain security, and improve the app; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
4. Ask Arlee and AI processing
Ask Arlee answers questions using your own information in the app. Before your question is used to generate an answer, personal details that identify you — such as your name, email address, phone number and street address — are removed.
Your questions and the information used to answer them are processed in Australia, are not sent overseas, and are not used to train AI models. Ask Arlee provides general information based on your data — it does not provide financial or credit advice.
5. Property data (Cotality)
Property value estimates in Arlee are supplied by Cotality, Australia's leading property data provider. To generate an estimate we share the property address with Cotality. Estimates are automated valuations for general information only and are not a professional valuation of any property.
6. Who we share your information with
- Your mortgage broker — Arlee is built around your relationship with your broker. Your position, plans and messages are visible to your broker (and their authorised staff) so they can work with you.
- Service providers — companies that help us run Arlee, including cloud hosting, message delivery, and Cotality. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- When the law requires it — where disclosure is required or authorised by Australian law.
7. Where your information is held
Everything in your Arlee account — your financial position, your plans, your properties and your messages with your broker — is stored and processed in Australia. The only exception is the messages we send you: when we email or text you, such as a sign-in code or a notification that something needs your attention, that message and the email address or mobile number we send it to are handled by providers in the United States. Nothing else about you is sent overseas.
8. How we protect it
We protect your information with security measures appropriate to how sensitive it is, and we limit who can see it — your information is visible only to you and your mortgage broker. We review our protections regularly, and we will tell you if anything happens that puts your information at serious risk.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active and as required by law. If you want your account and personal information deleted, contact us at privacy@arlee.com.au. Because your mortgage broker holds your client relationship and is required by law to keep certain records, your request is arranged with your broker. We will then delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are legally required to retain it.
10. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us. If you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us first at privacy@arlee.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
